Privacy notice
Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
Sellwood Homes Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a residential landlord company registered in England and Wales (company number 15918200). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
Sellwood Homes Ltd is registering with the Information Commissioner’s Office; our registration number will be shown here once issued.
You can contact us about this notice or your personal information using the email button on our website, or email us.
What information we hold
- Tenancy agreement information provided by our managing agent, namely tenants’ names, contact details and the terms of the tenancy, such as the property, rent and tenancy dates.
- Enquiry emails, including your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us when you contact us.
This website has no contact forms and uses no cookies, analytics or third-party fonts. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may process basic technical data, such as IP addresses in server logs, to deliver and secure the site.
Why we use it
- To manage our tenancies and meet our obligations under them as a landlord (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
- To comply with the legal and regulatory requirements that apply to us as a landlord, including tax and record-keeping rules (lawful basis: legal obligation).
- To respond to enquiries and to look after our properties and business (lawful basis: legitimate interests).
Day-to-day management of our homes is carried out by our managing agent, which also handles tenant information in line with its own privacy notice. We share information only where necessary, for example with the managing agent, contractors carrying out repairs, our professional advisers, or public authorities where the law requires. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep tenancy records for the length of the tenancy and for up to seven years afterwards, so we can deal with any legal or tax matters. Enquiry emails that do not lead to a tenancy are normally deleted within two years. Information is then securely deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, or to object to how we use it. You may also have the right to data portability. To make a request, please email us. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so that we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
